Up Helly Aa is a unique fire festival held in Lerwick, Shetland, Scotland, on the last Tuesday of January. This event celebrates the Viking heritage of the Shetland Islands with a torch-lit procession and the ceremonial burning of a Viking longship. Dressed in Viking costumes, participants march through the streets, culminating in the spectacular fire display.
