Up Helly Aa Fire Festival - Scotland - DIY Painting By Numbers Kit

Held annually in Lerwick, Shetland, Up Helly Aa is Europes largest fire festival, occurring on the last Tuesday of January. This spectacular event celebrates the Viking heritage with torch-lit processions, led by the Guizer Jarl, the chief Viking. Participants, clad in Viking costumes, march through the town, culminating in the burning of a galley ship. The event continues with community celebrations in halls across the town, featuring traditional music and dance. Its an enthralling display of tradition and a vibrant testament to Shetlands rich history.
