The Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival in Taiwan takes place annually during the Lantern Festival, around February. Participants write their wishes on sky lanterns and release them into the night sky, creating a breathtaking spectacle of lights. This event not only celebrates the arrival of spring but also symbolizes letting go of the past and hopes for the future. The festival is accompanied by cultural performances, local food stalls, and a beautiful setting amidst mountains, making it a deeply moving experience for attendees.
