This festival honors Saint Lucia, who is often depicted wearing a white gown with a red sash and a crown of candles. Processions led by girls dressed as Lucia and boys in traditional attire sing songs and bring light to the dark winter days. The celebration includes delicious pastries, known as Lussekatter, and a cozy atmosphere that captures the essence of Swedish holiday traditions.
