Tết Nguyên Đán, or Vietnamese Lunar New Year, is the most important celebration in Vietnam, typically taking place in January or February. This vibrant festival marks the arrival of spring and is a time for family reunions, honoring ancestors, and cultural festivities. Homes are decorated with peach blossoms, kumquat trees, and red banners symbolizing luck. Traditional foods such as bánh chưng (square rice cakes) are prepared, and festivities include lion dances, fireworks, and street markets. Tết offers a captivating glimpse into Vietnamese culture and traditions, making it a meaningful experience for travelers.
