The Pahiyas Festival, held every May in Lucban, Philippines, is a lively celebration of the harvest season. Locals adorn their homes with colorful decorations made from rice, fruits, and vegetables, showcasing their bountiful harvest in a creative way. This festival is not only a feast for the eyes but also for the stomach, with street vendors offering traditional dishes such as pancit habhab and longganisa. Festivities include parades featuring floats and vibrant costumes, cultural performances, and games. Pahiyas is an excellent opportunity to immerse oneself in Filipino culture while experiencing the warmth of community spirit during this joyous occasion.
