The Fête de l’Escalade is an annual festival celebrated in December in Geneva, Switzerland, commemorating the citys defense against a surprise attack in 1602. It features a torch-lit procession, reenactments, and chocolate cauldrons filled with marzipan vegetables. Participants often dress in period costumes, and traditional songs and dances enhance the historical experience. The festival is both a celebration of Genevas heritage and a joyful community event that brings the citys history to life in a captivating way.
